Will the full tent really fit back into the hard case?
Yes. The case was designed around the complete packed system. The tent, rainfly, poles, footprint, stakes, and guylines are intended to return to the case together after each trip.
Will it fit two full-size cots?
Yes. The 9' x 7' floor accommodates two full-size cots with usable room left for bags, boots, a cooler, a power station, or other camp gear. Cots are not included.
How does Campstash set up?
Campstash uses a familiar two-pole dome architecture, so setup is straightforward and easy to understand. Two 11mm shock-corded fiberglass main poles form the primary X-frame, while a separate lighter pole supports the front rainfly awning. It is designed for one-person setup, and printed instructions are included with every tent. Campstash is not an instant or pop-up tent.
How does it handle rain?
The rainfly, walls, and sewn-in tub floor have a 3000mm PU waterproof rating, the seams are taped where weather protection matters, and a full footprint with a 10,000mm PU waterproof rating is included. As with any tent, correct setup, staking, and tensioning are important.
Is it made for winter camping or a wood stove?
No. Campstash is a 3-season shelter designed for spring, summer, and fall vehicle camping. It is not an extreme-winter mountaineering tent and does not include a stove jack.
Is this a backpacking tent?
No. Campstash is intentionally built for vehicle-based camping, where interior comfort, organized storage, and durable materials matter more than ultralight pack weight.
